Vaastu means the dwelling of humans & Gods. Vaastu Shastra is an ancient science which helps one to get the natural benefits freely offered by the five basic elements of the universe in which we all live. The entire life in our universe is based on the five elements namely Fire, Earth, Air, Water and Sky. These five elements are found everywhere and anywhere. Even our body is composed of these five elements only. When any of these elements happen to be in excess or less in our body, it will result into physical or psychological problems. For example, if Fire element is more, we will get physical problems like high BP, insomnia, ulcers and psychological problems like anger and tensions. When Water element dominates, it leads to laziness, hallucinations, fickle mindedness, obesity and indigestion. Vaastu is a science of architecture which is aimed at balancing these five elements.

It is up to us to make the best out of it.

Rishi Vyasa was a great astrologer, who shared future events with Draupdi when she was only 13 years old, and advised to control her Laugh, comment, Question and curse to avoid or mitigate destruction to be caused because of that.

Even she could not help to control herself and Mahabharta happened, thousands were perished.

    All the best

Is it mean that Mahabharta could be avoided if she could control herself?

how can we bifurcate that what is fixed and what is changeable?

    Vishwas Ji,
As per my knowledge, there is some range limit in which a native can do changes. And, it is very difficult to identify that range accurately. In other words, we can say that there is a limited freedom only.
Sometimes a person put lot efforts to achieve something but he doesn’t get success. It is just because he is trying to achieve beyond his freedom.

    I am having few doubts.
    1. Why mother and father houses are in 6-8 axis from each other?
    2. As we know 4th house is of mother. If we look at children of mother then we should look 5th house from 4th house which is 8th house. How can we justify this 8th house as child of mother (4th house)?
    3. In the same way, if we look at spouse house from 4th house then it is 7th house from 4th house which must be of father (10th house) while we consider 9th house for father.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

    Tarun Ji,
I appreciate your findings (specially point 1 & 2). Generally, people discuss about point 3, not about point 1 & 2.
There is lot of confusion about 9th and 10th house. Because some astrologers take 9th house for father and some take 10th house for father. And in both cases, they can predict accurately. Every astrologer follows different-2 principles/techniques to predict. There must be single principle. If there are more than one principle for same thing then there must be conditions defined to apply those principles.

    Vishwas Ji,
Mantra is energy based sound. Or, you can say it divine sound as well. Chanting a mantra creates physical vibrations. And, those physical vibrations affect our mind and surroundings.

Dear Sir, if you select your partner via a match maker, then definitely the marriage is made in heaven, since it is in the heavens that the two charts are matched. You can see which person the heavens favour, and which they do not. Regarding free will, you still have the choice to say yes or no. If you regard ‘made in heaven’ as indicating no free will, you are still wrong, as heaven knows in advance what choice you will make, free will is only an illusion.
There is a similar question regarding ‘induced’ births in the west – I do not know if this is common in India, but many years ago hospitals began to arrange births to suit themselves, rather than wait for the baby to decide when to be born. I feel this is very wrong, and there is a question among western astrologers whether the birth chart of an induced birth can be valid. However, I incline to the belief that heaven decrees all, including that the surgeon will induce the birth. Therefore, all is as it was meant to be.

Dear geraldinefirequeen, thanks for putting light on this topic 🙂
I agree with your point of view. There is no freewill in marriage. As after matching charts also, there are many cases of divorce/separation. Some people say that birth details were wrong so charts didn’t match properly.

    Namaste,
Can anyone tell me please what are the effects of Venus in 7-H in female chart? Especially if Venus is in own sign. I know, in case of man such placement of Venus produces effect of “karako bhava nashto”. But what about female’s case?

It is something like that Venus as significator of 7th house, will try to destroy 7th house and as lord of 7th house (when placed in own sign) will try to protect 7th house. Very confusing one!!!
    Any conclusion friends?

    Dear Vishwas Ji,
Those states show the strength of planet. E.g. Exalted planet is more stronger than planet placed in own sign.
If we write those states in decreasing order of planet’s strength then it would be like:
    1) Exalted Sign
    2) Mooltrikona Sign
    3) Own Sign
    4) Friendly Sign
    5) Neutral Sign
    6) Enemical Sign
    7) Debilitated Sign

Planets gain strength as per their position in various signs.

    Hi,

I am completely a newbee to Astrology. I have learned that each house has a significance on human’s life as mentioned in the topic “Twelve Houses” on this portal.

    A questions on this topic:
    1. What would be the affect on a particular house if the ruling planet of the house resides in its own house? And what if that planet is by nature a malefic planet or by nature a good planet.

    Thanks & Regards,
    Vidya

    Hi Vidya,
House becomes strong if ruling planet of the house resides in its own house. It doesn’t matter whether that planet is malefic or benefic.

    Vishwas Ji,
Vaastu science is not specified differently for different persons. It is common for all. Basically it is responsible to create an environment. Environment might have +ve energy or -ve energy. So with the help of Vaastu, we try to reduce the -ve energy and increase +ve energy at a place. If we can balance 5 basic elements of universe then that place will be having +ve energy. Vaastu science helps in this.
