Most of the time, when people go to an astrologer to know about their future & when an astrologer tells that a native is manglik, people or native gets afraid. They feel that something is wrong with them.

Now, the question is what is the Manglik Dosha & how it is affecting the married life of a person.

Manglik means when a planet Mars is occupying any of the following house in the horoscope.

1. First House or an ascendant.
2. Fourth House of comforts.
3. Seventh House of life partner.
4. Eighth House of obstacles.
5. Twelfth House of bed comforts.

[crp]Mars has three aspects in Astrology. It aspects fourth, seventh & eighth house from its placement. It has a tendency to spoil the aspected house.

For a happy married life, it is necessary that the following houses should be strong enough.

1. Second house of family life.
2. Fourth house of all types of comforts.
3. Seventh house of life partner.
4. Eleventh house of fulfillment of desires.

Thus, when Mars is occupying,

1. First house, it spoils comforts & relation with life partner due to its fourth & seventh aspect.
2. Fourth house, it spoils relation with life partner & fulfillment of desires due to its fourth & eighth aspect.
3. Seventh house, it spoils family life due to its eighth aspect.
4. Eighth house, it spoils family life due to its seventh aspect.
5. Twelfth house, it spoils relation with life partner due to its eighth aspect.

However, there are following rules when it is nullifying a Manglik Dosha.

1. If Mars is occupying an ascendant & ascendant sign is Aries.
2. If Mars is occupying fourth house & its sign is Scorpio.
3. If Mars is occupying seventh house & its sign is Capricorn.
4. If Mars is occupying eighth house & its sign is Leo (it is a fiery sign).
5. If Mars is occupying twelfth house & its sign is Sagittarius (it is a fiery sign).
6. If Mars is in debilitated (in Cancer sign) position in any of the above houses.
7. If Mars is in any of his enemies house namely, Gemini & Virgo in any of the above houses.
8. If Mars is in conjunction with Sun (here it becomes astha) in any of the above houses.

While match making, an astrologer keeps all these points in mind. Astrologer tries to match a manglik horoscope of one partner with the manglik horoscope of the other partner to nullify the effects of this dosha. However, if in partner’s horoscope this dosha is absent, but the following condition presents, the dosha gets nullified & astrologer gives a green signal for such matching.

Condition is that in other partner’s horoscope if:

1. Saturn is occupying first or fourth or fifth or seventh or eighth or tenth or twelfth house (Saturn aspects third, seventh & tenth house from a house occupied by it).
2. Rahu is occupying first or seventh house.
3. If the points obtained are more than 28, without a Manglik Dosha exists.

Few people performs ‘POOJA’ to avoid this Manglik Dosha before the marriage & gets relief from the negative effects of it.

Few astrologers believe that the effect of Manglik Dosha gets over after the age of 28 years and suggest to wait for the completion of the age of 28 years of native as far as the marriage is concern.
